PayPerPost, one of the world’s largest consumer generated ad network, has launched an affiliate program through Commission Junction that pays for every new registration referred by a publisher/affiliate.
Whether you bring new advertisers or bloggers, PayPerPost pays $1 for every new referral who signs up within 45 days of the visit through your affiliate link.
PayPerPost says its analytics have demonstrated a conversion rate of 2.5% for advertisers and 18% for Bloggers, based on a percentage of absolute unique new visitors.
PayPerPosthelps create brand awareness, online buzz, increased traffic and consumer-based opinion for advertisers through sponsored content posted in publishers’ blogs.
I doubt, however, if bloggers will be attracted to the low $1 payout, considering the conversion rate of 2.5% for advertisers and 18% for bloggers. You will need to have massive traffic to even earn your first $100 from the program, and unless your traffic is comparable to Problogger or John Chow, the $1 might come in trickles.
PayPerPost is virtually getting free advertising from affiliates who will paste banners and buttons on their blogs, while the chances of a conversion are slim and the payout is small — this is not an incentive for bloggers to put another button or banner on their blog just to make a dollar.
And also consider the fact the PayPerPost already has an inhouse affiliate program that pays a much higher $15 commission for every new member you refer whose blog gets reviewed, approved and finally accepted 30 days later.
